You

You

A Poem by Noctiluco
"

One of my old works, and rather short as well, about a woman and the lovelorn man who fell in love only to lose her affections in the end.

"

You've destroyed my spirit

Ripped out my heart

Here now I lay

Among works of art:

Joy

Sadness

Love

Madness

Death

Life

Wrong

Right.

I ignore them all...

For only one thing is beautiful to me: You.

After last conversation, this has a new meaning. You obviously loved her, whomever she was. (And I do know, I believe I know, anyway) Nonetheless, we did discuss an elder in your life whom this refers to, (my definition of elder is anyone older than yourself, and not necessarily ancient) and I find it interesting how it also relates to my................[predicament? no. It is not the correct word to use] All subjects listed "Joy.........Right" all relate to life in its entirety, and the fact that you abandon them all for her reminds me of just how hard it is to describe love at all (especially ones that cause you Distress in the end)
