The wolf cries

The wolf cries

A Poem by Nobody

If i were a lesser person i would call you every name in the book

Every word i can muster beyond the twisting of my esophagus

I can’t breathe and it makes you smile

But instead i bite my bleeding tongue

And silently wish onto you what you have willed upon me

To be lesser

To feel fear when you step outside of the confines of a home you can’t afford

I want you to cower under the foot that steps upon your head

With it’s complacency

And bursts your empty skull with its perception of what is fair

I want you to feel hollow

In such a way that only being looked through can create

You are to sit silent, don’t complain

Shackle your own feet before i find something else to take

When your soles start to bleed

I will have mercy

Allow you to stop the march long enough to bend down and clean it up

If i were to wish upon you what you have chosen for me

You would fizzle out in an instant

So hold onto this

Your false belief that you have created something less than destructive

And when they tear down the walls you thought they’d protect

I hope you cry wolf and realize

You call for yourself
