Arresting Mayumi NakamuraA Chapter by Noah Wayverlynn
A week passed, and no one heard from or seen Mayumi Nakamura since she disappeared. Suddenly, the police become informed of a situation at a supermarket on the outskirts of Tokyo. "Officer Madoka, Moonarayde Supermarket just called and reported a something suspicious. We should go investigate." Officer Rio said as he finished writing the information the Supermarket employee reported. It was 10:30 in the morning on a Saturday, and the officers were trying to stay awake after a long week working on the two cases. "Yes we should Officer Rio. Let's go." Officer Madoka replied quickly as she stood up, and grabbed her cup of hot chocolate. Officer Rio and Officer Madoka were partners in the Mayumi case as well as the Yuna and Taro case, and they hoping for a break in both cases. As the female officer drove the squad car to the scene, Yoshi Rio read the report he was given. "Moonarayde Supermarket spotted a woman matching Mayumi Nakamura's description requesting a gun, pepper spray, and other items. She must have revealed too much information about her intentions, and stated that she was going to beat someone up or something like that. The employee refused to give Mayumi the items, and she became more aggressive with her as a result. She even threatened the employee that she would kill her if she didn't hand over the items." Officer Sakura Madoka gasped in shock. "Wow. that's insane. If the woman is Mayumi Nakamura, we will solve the case of her disappearance. If it's not Mayumi, maybe that woman could help us find her." she replied as she turned onto the highway. Finally, after a long drive, the officers made it to Moonarayde Supermarket. As they entered the store, a woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes waited for them behind a checkout counter. "Hello Officers. I am so glad you're here. Before I get into details, I should mention that my name is Yoko Najimi. Okay, now that's out of the way, time for the details. There was a tall girl with long black hair and blue eyes who claimed that she was Mayumi Nakamura. She requested a gun, pepper spray, and some other items. Since she told me that she was going to use those items to beat someone up, I refused to hand them over. You know how it goes, dangerous items stay locked up in the employee area and out of reach. Since I refused to hand over the items she requested, she became more aggressive. She threatened to kill me, and she also threatened to steal all the money we had. She tried to slap me, but I backed up. Afterwards, she just ran off into the restroom." Officer Madoka looked at Yoko and Officer Rio in shock, and responded. "Don't worry. I got this. Officer Rio, stay with Yoko. Stand gaurd just in case Mayumi escapes me." Yoshi nodded as his partner went towards the restrooms. As Sakura opened the door, she saw the woman matching the description Yoko gave her. "Tokyo Police Department! Turn around, and put your hands up!" Instead of obeying the officer's commands, the high school girl kicked her and ran out of the restroom. "Yoshi! Get her!" Officer Madoka yelled as she ran after Miss. Nakamura. The 34 year old officer whipped out his handcuffs, and began restraining the young high school student. The girl didn't surrender easily, but Sakura Madoka pulled out her pepper spray to neutralize her. As Mayumi surrendered, the female officer restrained her as Officer Rio arrested her. "Mayumi Nakamura, you are arrested for attacking a police officer as well as threatening Yoko Najimi." The male officer took the young girl to the police car as the female officer asked Yoko if she wanted to press charges against the student. Without hesitation, Mrs. Najimi replied "yes I would. Threatening someone is absolutely unacceptable, and everyone who does should be put in jail." As Yoshi helped Mayumi into the back seat of the squad car, Sakura told them about Yoko's decision to press charges and issue a restraining order preventing Mayumi from setting foot into that store. The young woman started sobbing as soon as the officers closed the door. "What have I done? Why did I do that? What did I get myself into?" Mayumi asked herself as the police got into the front of the car. On the way to the police station, Mayumi yelled and kicked the seats nonstop. "Miss Nakamura, please settle down." Officer Rio called out. Disregarding everything Officer Rio just told her, Mayumi kept yelling and kicking the seats. The ride back to the police station was nothing but chaos. Later that day, Megami, Yoshiko, and the other girls were hanging out at Megami's house playing on the Xbox while Ayano was making dinner and listening to the news. A news report of Mayumi's actions was read and showed on screen. "Police have arrested a female high school student for threatening an employee at Moonarayde Supermarket on the outskirts of Tokyo today. Mayumi Nakamura was threatening Yoko Najimi after not getting the suspicious items she asked for. Turns out the young woman was requesting a gun, pepper spray, and other suspicious items. Miss. Nakamura was also arrested for attacking a police officer when she was being restrained. They got her safely into custody, however, Mayumi was kicking and screaming in the back seat while the police were transporting her to the police station. More information on this case has yet to be released." As she was waiting for the pasta to boil, Ayano Yamada took notes on the news report to show Kentaro, Zaurina, and the girls. After a few minutes, the pasta was ready to eat. "Girls! Dinner Time!" Ayano yelled as she rang the dinner bell. All the girls came rushing downstairs within the first two rings of the bell. "I have an update on Mayumi's case." The principal said as she sat plates by the stove. "Here are the notes. You can look it over while eating." She added with a smile while checking on the garlic bread in the oven. "Sweet. Thanks!" The girls exclaimed as they came up to get their food. Despite having new information on Mayumi's case, everyone was silent at the dinner table. All that could be heard were forks hitting plates as well as ambient noise from the game the girls were playing upstairs.
