Mayumi's Betrayal

On the same day that Jonas Yamashikah was questioned and locked up at the police station, Ayano Yamada told her daughter the terrible news. It was lunch time at Yanamikarah High School, and Megami was hanging with her friends on the school rooftop. "Well, last night I was on YouTube, and I listened to that new song by Selena Gomez called Wolves. It is a spectacular song, and I really like the melody of it. It's so catchy. I can't get enough of it, and I can't wait to..." Megami was interrupted by her mom running and calling out to her and her friends. "Girls! I got some very bad news. We better go to my office if you want to hear it." Megami Yamada turned to her mother, and said "Alright. Let's go." The principal's daughter and her friends followed Ayano quickly. On the way to the office, they continued the conversation where they left off. "Anyway, I can't wait to go home so I can download that song to my new Ipod touch." Megami stated. Once they reached the office, the principal instructed the girls to take a seat while she closed the door. "You are not going to like this, but Yuna has escaped from the mental institution her mother sent her to. She escaped with a boy who also attends this school. His name is Taro Soma, and he is a junior here at Yanamikarah High. Osoro told me that she saw the footage of their escape, and everyone is doing everything they can to get her back to the institution. She was reported missing by her mother and her brother both on the same day." Osana looked at Mayumi in the eyes. "Taro Soma? Mayumi, do you know him?" Mayumi looked Osana directly in the eyes "yes. he is my boyfriend." she said with a sad look. "Girls! Focus!" Ayano scolded. "Anyway, Osoro Aishi was in an accident on the way home yesterday. She was put in a coma because of a student who was texting and driving, and not paying attention to his surroundings. I will keep you updated on the investigation." she said calmly as the girls faced her. Before Ayano could say another word, Mayumi stood up and ran right out of the office. Instead of going to class, she went downstairs and left the school. The other girls chased her, and tried to stop her from leaving the school. "Mayumi stop! what are you doing?" the girls all said at once. At the school gate, Mayumi turned around and scolded "Girls! I am going to find Taro Soma, and stop him from helping Yuna! He needs to know that Yuna is dangerous, and he should stay away from her. I will do whatever it takes to get him back." Mina steps closer to Mayumi, and says "Mayumi, honey, please stop. We will talk to Ayano and Megami about this. Maybe they can help you...Maybe all of us can help you. You know how dangerous Yuna is, and I think you shouldn't go alone." Aya chimes in. "Mina's right. We should all go with you. That way you're protected. We don't want you getting hurt." Mina steps back as Aya grabs Mayumi's hand. "Mayumi...please. wait for us so we can help you. We're here for you." she said silently. Mayumi steps back further away from the girls, and aggressively pulls her hand away from Aya's hand. "Girls. Please just back off. I can do this myself. I am sacrificing myself for all of you so you can be safe." she says calmly as she walks around the girls to get her things from her locker. "Mayumi. You can't face Yuna alone. Please let us help you." Aya says in a soft voice as she follows Mayumi to her locker. "I SAID BACK OFF! I can do this on my own. I don't need you with me every single time a situation arises. I AM TIRED OF YOU UNDERESTIMATING ME AND MY ABILITIES!!!" Mayumi yelled as she aggressively slaps Aya across the face. Mayumi's aggressiveness knocks Aya back a few steps away from her. With a shocked look on her face, Mina grabs Aya's hand and holds her close for protection. "How dare you hit your best friend like that! She could have gotten hurt because of you. Best friends forever remember? Whatever happened to that?" Mina cried out. Mina and Aya stepped back as Mayumi swung her backpack onto her back. "Watch where you're swinging your backpack. You could have hit us if we didn't back up." Aya scolded. "so what! I don't care. Goodbye girls!" Mayumi said as she slammed her locker shut, and turned to leave the school. When Mayumi was out of sight, The girls went back to Ayano Yamada's office to report the incident. "Mrs. Yamada. Mayumi has gone insane. She was very aggressive towards Aya, and slapped her across the face. She claims that she can face Yuna by herself in order to get her boyfriend back. She also nearly hit Aya and I with her backpack when she put it on her back." Megami and Osana went to class already because they did not want to be potential victims of Mayumi's aggressiveness. "I believe you girls. I got the whole thing on tape since there is a camera in front of the school." Mrs. Yamada replied with a scared and worried expression. Ayano tried to call Mayumi's cell phone, but it went straight to voicemail since she had her phone turned off. "Mayumi this is Ayano Yamada calling. I would like you to report to Yanamikarah High School. There are some things I want to talk to you about. Please give me a call when you get this. Thanks." After Ayano left the message, she hung up and tried to call Mayumi's father. Luckily, Mayumi's father was able to answer. "This is Kentaro Nakamura speaking." a voice exclaimed on the other end. "hello Mr. Nakamura. This is Ayano Yamada calling from Yanamikara High School. Your daughter left school after being aggressive towards some of the students here. We are trying to get her in to talk to her about the reasons for her aggressiveness, and maybe ways to handle things differently instead of being aggressive towards others. Did you see your daughter come home, or is she not home?" Ayano told Kentaro. "No I haven't seen her come home. However, I will check her room quick for you. Maybe she slipped past me or something." Kentaro replied. After a few seconds of silence, Mayumi's father tells Ayano "Yes she is here. She is packing her things. I asked her why she was packing, and she told me she was going to go find her boyfriend. I honestly think she's crazy because she has made up excuses like that before, and she never really does what she says." Ayano Yamada nods, and begins to speak again. "Okay Mr. Nakamura. Can you and Mayumi come on in so we can discuss her aggressiveness?" After a slight pause, the voice on the other end replies "Yes Ayano. We can do that." Before Mrs. Yamada could speak again, she heard some noise coming from Kentaro's end of the line. "Kentaro, is everything alright there?" The principal finally asked while trying to comprehend what she just heard. "Everything's fine Mrs. Yamada. Mayumi just came down to ask who I was talking to, and I told her I was talking to you. She got pretty upset, and slammed her bedroom door. I'm glad she didn't try to steal my phone away or anything like that. She usually does when I talk to someone she..." Suddenly, Kentaro and Ayano heard the sound of glass shattering. "Give me one moment Ayano. I am going to investigate what happened. I am keeping you on the line so I can let you know." After two minutes of silence, Kentaro tells the Principal. "It turns out that Mayumi escaped through her bedroom window. She broke the window, and left shards of glass laying on the floor." Ayano nodded, and watched as Aya and Mina watched with curious expressions. Kentaro continued "I don't know how Mayumi could do that. She isn't strong enough to do something like that. I wonder if she got the chair she uses for her desk, or maybe she used something else. I will call the police to report Mayumi missing. We can discuss her aggressiveness once we get her back." The  principal walked over to the window, nodded, and then replied "Sounds good Mr. Nakamura. Hope we get her back soon so we can chat with her about her aggressiveness." Kentaro replied quickly "Alright. hope we talk again soon Mrs. Yamada." As Ayano hangs up the phone, she turns to the girls who are patiently waiting to hear all about the call. "Mayumi ran home to pack her things so she could leave on her way to find Taro. However, when her father told her that he was talking to me... she ran into her room, slammed the door, and broke her window so she could escape without her father detecting her." Mina looked at Aya, and then back at Ayano. "I don't understand. She has never been like this when we were around. She hasn't been aggressive towards any of us until today." Mina spoke sadly. Aya nodded. "Come on girls! We can't just sit around while thinking about Mayumi. We need to do anything in our power to stop her from making the biggest mistake of her life. You all know how dangerous Yuna is! Mayumi may be defeated with only a few attacks." Ayano spoke up. "Yeah!" the girls said as they got up to give the principal a high five. By the time they finished talking, it was already time for cleaning time. Since Aya and Mina missed class, Ayano marked their attendance for their afternoon classes as excused. She had Mina clean the stairway railings while making Aya clean tables and chairs in hr office. Suddenly, Ayano's phone on her desk began to vibrate. "Hello this is Mrs. Yamada speaking." the principal spoke politely. Kentaro Nakamura was on the other end of the line. "Hello Ayano. I contacted the police to report Mayumi missing, and they told me they will do anything to get her back home safe. They told me that they have three cases going on right now, and they will do their best to help." Ayano walked to the window in her office. "Alright. I know what cases they are talking about. The disappearance of Yuna and Taro, Osoro's accident that put her in a coma, and now this one." After a short pause, Mayumi's father replied "Osoro Aishi is in a coma? How and when did this happen?" Ayano pulled out her notes she took, and replied with a sad expression. "Yes she's in a coma. A student who attends this school was texting while driving, and caused the accident. It happened yesterday." "I'm sorry to hear that Ayano." Kentaro replied quickly with a sad expression. "That's alright Kentaro. I hope she wakes up soon so we can update her on her daughter's case." The principal stood by her desk, and replied quickly "Would you like me to come over so we can discuss the cases?" Mrs. Yamada sat at her desk looking through her notes while waiting for Mr. Nakamura to respond. "Absolutely. That way I am caught up on everything that's going on. My eight year old daughter Yoshiko stayed home from school because she had a fever and a cold, but otherwise you have nothing to worry about." Ayano stood up from her desk, and packed her laptop in her bag. "Okay Mr. Nakamura. I'll be right over." Ayano said quickly before hanging up the phone. As soon as Ayano hung up the phone, the girls were already done with their cleaning duties. They sat on the chairs in her office, and waited for her. "We are off to Mayumi's house to discuss the cases with Kentaro. Everyone ready?" Mrs. Yamada exclaimed quickly as she grabbed her bag from the right side of her desk. "Yes we are." the girls said quickly as they all stood up, and started following Ayano out of the room. "Okay, we have an update on Osoro's case... the one about her comatose. The cops concluded that Jonas Yamashikah was the one texting and driving. Surprisingly, he had no injuries from the accident. Apparently he made up a story for the cops saying that he was texting his girlfriend who was blind. In his story, he noted that he was texting her to reassure his girlfriend that he would be at her place as soon as possible. The accident occurred a few seconds after he "claimed" to text her. This morning, the cops found out that his story was a lie. Yes Jonas was texting his girlfriend, but she is not blind like he claims she is. In fact, she can see perfectly find. Instead of the text conversation being about finding a lost cane, it was about their feelings for each other and what they were going to do that night. He is now being investigated further since he completely lied to the police." Ayano told the girls as they walked down the stairs. The girls looked at each other for a split second, and returned to looking straight ahead. "Interesting." Osana said quickly with a puzzled look. "I think I know who his girlfriend is. It's my sister Abbigail Haruka." she added as she walked swiftly next to Megami. Aya, Mina, and the principal's daughter look at Osana with surprised expressions. Osana acknowledged her friends' facial expressions with a nod, and continued walking. Since there was no student council meeting that night, The girls were ready to help Ayano tell Kentaro about the cases the cops were working on.
