Special Occasion at ChurchA Story by Noah Wayverlynn
Last Sunday, I went with my Grandma to her church for a special occasion. My Grandma wanted me to go with her because her church was welcoming a new father. While telling you about my experience, I will not mention any names. Anyway, back to the story. My Grandma picked me up from my apartment since I agreed to go to church with her. That day, I was wearing a white shirt and a black skirt. Before going to church, Grandma and I went to Costco to get cakes for dessert after eating food. The cakes were chocolate and vanilla, and they looked so good. Once we got the cakes, we went to church to drop off the cakes and get ready for the mass. Halfway through the mass, we saw people dancing in really cool costumes. There were drums, bells, and other instruments. They danced from the back of the church all the way to the front of the church, and their performance was cool. At the end of their dance performance, they danced back to the entrance of the area. After the mass, we went to the dining area to have some food and cake. However, we got to see another outstanding performance from the dancers. After a few dance performances, everyone prayed for the food and drinks. As I walked up to get some food, I saw they had tortillas macaroni salad, meat, rice, and more. it was so good, and I really enjoyed it. As I ate, I was listening to the Spanish music that was playing in the background. A few minutes later, it was time for cake! Grandma brought me a chocolate piece of cake, and I really thought it was so good. it tasted creamy and very tasty. After I finished the chocolate piece of cake, Someone asked me if I wanted another piece. I said "Yes" and asked for a vanilla piece. It tasted as good as the chocolate one, and I am really glad I got to try both kinds. That day was a good day for me, but it would have been better if it wasn't raining.
