This is the final chapter of Demetrah's New Experience Of Christmas. In this chapter, Maybell and Demetrah have a hard decision to make. Either stay in West Fargo or move back to Mississippi.
On a beautiful Saturday morning, Maybell and Demetrah are hanging out at West Acres. They were ready to leave after an hour there. Maybell's cell phone rings, and when she answers it the caller was her mother Natalie. "Hey honey, how is it in West Fargo? I really miss you." Maybell with tears in her eyes said "It's alright here, and I miss you too." Maybell's mother asks her if she wants to move back to Mississippi, because she just got out of the hospital. She was in the hospital because she passed out on the sidewalk that leads to the Jackson Public Library. "I will talk to Demetrah about it, and then I will call you back." Maybell says. Her mom agrees, and then they hang up. At the apartment, the girls talk the decision over. "I want to stay here. I like it here." Demetrah says to Maybell. "well I don't want to stay here, I want to move back to Jackson Mississippi." Maybell said in an angry tone. The girls were divided on the big situation. They argued about it the rest of that day. Maybell getting extremely mad at her best friend, starts yelling at her. "You want to stay here, but what about my mother? She just got back home, and you don't want to see her???? What kind of girl are you, and who do you think you are!!!!" Maybell yells with extreme anger. Starting to cry, Demetrah says "How dare you say that May. I thought we were best friends. I thought we were best friends forever, but I guess not. If you want to leave and go back to Mississippi, then FINE. Go ahead and leave me here. If you go, don't bother trying to talk to me ever again. If you go, our friendship is over, and I mean OVER!" Demetrah walks off into the room. Replying to Demetrah's comment, Maybell yells out to her "Fine. I thought we were best friends too, but I guess I made a mistake the first time I talked to you. You're nothing but a big deceiver!!!! I don't care what you choose to do, because our friendship is over. If you choose to come back with me, our friendship can be saved but if you stay then that's fine." Grabbing a picture of her and Demetrah off the nightstand, she throws it on the ground near where Demetrah's sitting. After that, she takes a poster that says "Maybell and Demetrah, forever best friends" and rips it right in half. Hurt by her ex-friend's actions, Demetrah says "Fine! go back to Jackson Mississippi. Pack up your things, and GET OUT NOW MAYBELL!!!! I should have known not to become your friend. your nothing but a whacked out teen that can't even keep her mind straight. I shouldn't have brought you along in the first place." As Maybell packs her luggage, the girls both yell out "FINE!" and Demetrah leaves the apartment so she won't have to see Maybell's face. Maybell started walking to the airport where she took her flight home. Back at the apartment, Demetrah goes through all her social media and her phone. She deletes Maybell off of everything she had. She took down all of her posters that showed Maybell in them. On the plane, Maybell searches every device she had and then deleted Demetrah off of everything. Then she calls her mother Natalie, and says to her "Mom, I'm coming home. Demetrah and I got into a big fight. Our friendship broke." Natalie replies to her daughter "oh honey, I'm sorry that your friendship broke up. Maybe Demetrah just....." Maybell cuts her mom off, and says "Mom, Don't mention that girl's name again. I don't want to hear her name again." agreeing not to talk about it anymore, they hang up. The girls were best friends throughout the story, but now the friendship broke into pieces. Maybell hates Demetrah, and Demetrah hates Maybell. They never speak again. Sadly, the memories the girls had of each other have been burned. When Maybell got home, she burned everything that reminded her of Demetrah. At the apartment, Demetrah got rid of her car and bought a new one. She sold the car because it reminded her of Maybell. It reminded her of that incident of when she went completely blind. The teens hated each other for the rest of their lives.
It certainly is the author's prerogative to end a story as hey see fit Arizona. I had thought the two girls mature enough to sort this out without the bad blood that surfaced but when passions are aroused we say things that we can't take back.
There is a saying "Be sure to taste your words before you spit them out."
Your story writing style is different to any I've encountered and thats a good thing in my book.
Well penned. :)
sorry about the sad ending. I just thought I would close this story off with that ending, because I wanted to reassure everyone that not every fictional story has a happy ending. If you're writing a book, than it is your choice on how it should end
