New Years Day

this is the chapter where the girls get to celebrate New Years. Demetrah's family already went back to Jackson Mississippi, so they are finding a way to celebrate

It is 9pm on New Years eve. Maybell and Demetrah are casually just sitting around their apartment and waiting for something exciting. Demetrah is washing the dishes and Maybell is doing the laundry. They are both listening to music, but they are listening to different songs. Maybell is listening to a song called What You Want by Evanescence, and Demetrah is listening to Cool For The Summer by Demi Lovato. The teens aren't going to bed that night, because The New Years ceremony will be on TV. At 9:15, the show comes on. Maybell was excited, because her favorite band was the first to perform. When the announcer said "We have a special surprise for you tonight. Please welcome The Pretty Reckless to the stage!" She let out a huge scream. Arizona was out celebrating with her family, so she was unavailable to watch the ceremony with the teens. In Fargo, there was 3 more hours until new years day. In New York, they had 2 more hours. 2 hours passed, the girls kept watching all the performers. some performers included: Carly Rae Jepsen, Kesha, Taylor Swift, Black Veil Brides, and more. There was also an exclusive special showcase before the ball dropped. Tonight Alive was singing their song called Listening.  When the show was about to end, the crowd on TV said "3...2...1..... Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Confetti was falling, and it was a happy moment. For an hour, there wasn't a specific show. All that showed on the television, was a long firework display. At midnight, the girls heard a "Bang!" so they went to go see what it was. Here it was a family putting off fireworks in the distance. Demetrah was happy that she got her vision back, because she wanted to watch the fireworks. The fireworks lasted for 3 hours, but then it was time for the family to tend to some New Years Day business. The girls knew that Arizona was 18 years old now, so they created a giant birthday card that said "Happy 18th Birthday Arizona" With pictures they took while Arizona hung out with them, they decorated the card on the inside, and the back. The girls attached a balloon with it, and then sent it to her. After that, the girls celebrated with more fireworks and a full day of celebration. They had karaoke day, went to the mall, and even spent a little bit at the Skateland. At the end of the day, the girls were listening to Tonight Alive, and then they had a mini dance party. By the time they were done, the girls grew tired, so they fell asleep on the sofa in the living room. The girls had a busy day, and they were proud to have a day like that.
