Sweet 16 For Maybell!

In this chapter, Arizona and Demetrah plan a sweet 16 for Maybell. they go through a lot of planning, so they do this the whole chapter

The morning sun rises on December 14th. Maybell is out touring houses and apartments that are for sale in the area. Maybell decided to have Demetrah stay at the hotel to wait for her. Arizona is at the hotel with Demetrah making sure that nothing is out of the ordinary. "Ok. We need to plan a sweet 16 for Maybell." Demetrah says. Arizona whips out a notebook that says "Special Event Planning" on it, and she says to Demetrah "Ok. what does she usually like?" Demetrah pulls up a whole note document she typed while getting to know Maybell, and she replies "Maybell likes spaghetti. Her favorite color is black, because she says it fits her personality." Arizona writes the provided info in her notebook and says "Maybe we should go to The Frying Pan. They have a special place to have parties, so maybe we can ask how much it would be to reserve it. After dinner, we can come back here and have her open presents. We can have a chocolate fudge cake with white icing saying "Happy Sweet 16 Maybell" on it. We can also Skype her family and have them see the present ceremony and the cake. We can also have someone take pictures so that we can send some to her family and your family." Demetrah agrees to the plan, and then says "absolutely. She's going to love it." Zona reaches into her purse and pulls out a t-shirt. She hands it over to Demetrah to feel it. Zona says "This is a t-shirt that has Ghost Town on it. I found this at Hot Topic for a cheap price. I even found some black and red nail polish. She will have to spray the room with air freshener after painting her nails, because nail polish is strong." Demetrah says ok, and then Arizona puts her stuff back in her black purse. As soon as she finished closing her purse, Maybell walks in. "Hey! I found a cheap apartment at the parkwest gardens here in West Fargo. I think it's a cheap price, and we can afford it." with excitement, the girls give a big girl hug. "we move in on the 17th." says Maybell. So excited with her friend's find, she says "Great job May, you're the best." On December 17th, the two girls move into their new apartment. Arizona helps them move their stuff from the hotel. It was a busy day for the girls, but it was worth it. In 2 days, Maybell will be 16! After all the challenging work, the girls sit down to have a cup of hot chocolate. "Woo! that was so much work! Let's rest." Maybell says. Arizona agrees and says "Yeah you girls do that, I have to get home to mom before she begins to worry." Arizona departs, and then the two teens begin to rest. Two days later, Arizona comes over to accompany Demetrah in waiting for Maybell to arise. Making breakfast for Maybell, Arizona says "I am going to serve Maybell breakfast in bed since it's her birthday." After Zona makes Maybell's eggs the way she like them, her and Demetrah take it into Maybell's room. They turn on the light and yell out "HAPPY SWEET 16 MAYBELL!" with Maybell now sitting up in her bed, Demetrah sets the silver tray on her friend's lap. "Arizona made you breakfast." she says with a smile. "Awww you shouldn't have." Maybell says with a smile. "I would hug you, but I better wait so I don't spill all over us." she says. After Maybell finishes her breakfast, the girls had karaoke until noon. At the frying pan, the party starts in the reserved party area. The room had 10 people. Arizona introduces them to the girls. "Happy Sweet 16 Maybell" they say in unison. Maybell thanks them, and then they all sit down to eat. After the dinner moment, the party went to the girls' new apartment. With the families on Skype, the party proceeded into cake eating and present opening. Every time Maybell opened a present, she held it up for the families could see. The rest of the party proceeded into karaoke time, but afterwards the party rolls down. After the guests leave and Skype is off, Maybell hugs her friends and says "Thank you girls so much for planning this for me. this was the best sweet 16 ever." The teens hug and laugh with joy. It was coming to the closing of a spectacular birthday ever for Maybell.
