Through the Wet Grass (Oct. 3rd, 2006)

A Poem by Working Class Scarecrow
"

one of my favorites from a couple years ago.

"

stop leaning
on that church steeple
it won't support you long enough
Wake up
with the sunrise
feel the beams meet you skin
the warmth
let it in
absorb it
let it empower you
wake
the time for sleep is
over my child
move your hand
through the wet grass
deny nothing
and everything
accept what you will
you can't go wrong...
don't worry my sweet
the trees bearing fruit
the crows swoop from
the power lines
recall what you knew
as an innocent youth
the infant so pure
crying on arrival
to this plane
for reasons
that take years
to decipher...
if ever.
come to terms
with the false
judgements
and observe
the outcomes
while still
living with the
knowledge
that their are
endless possibilities
in this game
of infinte dice...
combinations
of events...
don't just let
life happen to you...
happen to it...
though i have yet
to lead by example
...i don't want you
to be a follower
anyway....
