Shivering in the Dark

Shivering in the Dark

A Poem by Working Class Scarecrow

here's another one
for the archive
of anonymity.

i saw my reflection
in the gloss
of a guitar.

i hope
it was worth it,
your one night of fun.

i'm so glad
the locals know
how to put on a show.

fleeting words from a fleeting soul.

i feel the truth of the cold,
on an empty stomach.

she's on a stage
i sure with that i was.

handfuls of s****y wishes.

it's all inside.

it's in me.

it's all alright.

no need,
no need.
