it's Only November

it's Only November

A Poem by Working Class Scarecrow

Let's close our eyes
tonight...
and drift into the
darkness....

Let's dream this night
together...
and embrace with welcome
arms......

Is it not
what you want?
don't you feel
that this is real

And the war's not over
and the love has not begun
and the fight's all over
nothing lost, nothing won

Where am I going with this?
where am I going with this?
I wish I could read lips
I wish I could read lips

But I'd probably still miss
but I'd probably still miss
the letters in fine print
the letters in fine print

Let's just twist it
and bend it
until no one remembers

Be careful with this kid
he feels codependent
it's only November
it's only November
