In This Act I Am Alive

In This Act I Am Alive

A Poem by Working Class Scarecrow
"

How I describe the feeling of writing.

"

the thing about writing, for me anyway...

is that i can feel each letter being pulled from my being.

and in this act i feel alive.

like when you ride a bicycle down a steep hill

sometimes it's short lived...

sometimes i have time to really think about it

while
it's happening

and i feel the wind in my hair,
                 and realize...

                              that isn't wind....
                   it's the sensation of myself,
 moving through the air.

The dictionary describes a moral, as a message conveyed or a lesson to be learned, from a story or event. This piece certainly emphasises lateral thinking; viewing one event, through different perspectives.

An excellent example of creative writing. Well done!

Very nice! Short and sweet and absolutely true! Very relatable, though I can't ride a bike... but thats another story...
I really enjoyed reading this, it was a quick, refreshing read, a concoction of simplicty and underlying complexity that I found absolutely amazing! Thanks for posting this, it really brought my mood from good, to great! Good luck getting a book published, and from a fellow singer, good luck with that ambition as well! :)

Wow, this is really nice. You captured the feeling that I always get close to perfect. ;) It's nice to write things that give you a nice passionate or "alive" feeling. Hopefully, those feelings will never go away as long as we write and, for a fair many people, read! Nicely written poem!

gosh, this is the best explanation of my life lately.
i love this so much, wonderful writing style, and a good way to describe something that you aren't really sure as to what it is. you described this vague act --- lovely.

The structure suggests movement and the metaphor of writing to movement is great. I especially like the

that isn't wind....
it's the sensation of myself,
moving through the air.

Ahh very good. i kno wat u mean. It does feel like each word and letter is being taken away from u when put on paper. But the fact that its there shows where it came from and that u'll never be able to forget.
KEEP WRITING!!!

Gives you a sense of being. One with or without the universe. Very pleasant experience, thank you.
