The Statements of Insanity

The Statements of Insanity

A Poem by Vic

Watch for the statements
That mark insanity.
It starts slow
And boring,
Then picks up speed
Once the subject
is chosen.
It's continued by an action
And not a question mark
Follows,
Just comma
Slicing through,
Pausing it's life
And leaves uncertainty
Of the future.
Jumbled words ensue,
Followed by the
Coy misplacement of thoughts.
Subjects become improper
And the only chance
To change
Is to cut through
With a red a pen,
Creating a bloody page
Of an attempt to edit
What went wrong,
Until it becomes a
Crumpled ball,
Waste basket hiding.
There it lays,
It's words unread,
Unheard,
Passed from trash
To buried landfill,
Where there's no hope
Of finding it.
A semicolon
Between a body
And brain,
With no words
To complete the sentence.

The End.
