Blackberry TearsA Poem by Nicole RoushA life lost too soon.Blackberry tears fell and stained the evening sky. A floor we all looked at but never saw became well versed with the pacing of our feet. Eyes leaned against walls for support as they watched the clock drink away the time. Time that was meant from something else. Something better. Hands held strings. At the end of each string was him. Strings trying to hold up a collapsing house. Acceptable memories are passed like a bitter perfume. Blackberry tears fell. © 2020 Nicole Roush |
