She lies awake at night
And weeps and weeps and weeps
Eventually she’s worn and torn
So she just falls asleep
She wakes up in the morning
Her eyes puffy and red
She remembered the previous night
She fell to pieces in bed
She cleans up and moves along
All throughout the day
She smiles, laughs, and lies
Telling everyone she’s okay
She walks in her room
And waits to be alone
Once everyone else is gone
She lets out a painful groan
She wonders how it must feel
To be loved and cared about
To go home to someone special
Not having to be alone and pout
Since she has no one
Her days are always routine
Night comes, then she falls asleep
Crying in between
For a year or maybe more
She’s cried every day
Because he broke up with her
Or he didn’t feel the same way
There was always some excuse
As to why they couldn’t be
Sometimes she’d even find out
He loved someone other than she
What was she to do? Who wants a life of solitude
To cry and fall to pieces
Because of some heartless “dude”
Her heart ached badly
Many had broken it
Emotionally bruised and miserable
She cried every minute
Finally she’d had enough
Day and night she’d wept
She had gotten sick of
Crying till she slept
So finally she decided
She cried and cried and cried
She overdosed and stabbed herself
And cried until she died
