The Whispering Leaves

A love poem by Nix and Ts (Rated: Everyone)

 The autumnal haze

Gives a delightful daze

For days with no end

An abyss of bliss

The desperate kiss

While our love towers

In an overcast sky

We count the flowers

For countless hours

As color devours our souls

They extole and unroll

We have no control

As what lay unknown

No sway over the way

The subtle breeze moves the trees

Stray leaves float away

An array of a divine display 

As together we pray

In our own special way

With soft touches and kisses

Risking the vicious bliss

A sublime waste of time

While we entwine and unwind

They enter our mind

Those diaphanous thoughts

Memories of raw lips 

And sips of ambrosia 

from my lover's sweet well

As our passions swell

Let autumn define us

Throes of lust amid ocher and rust

We trust autumn

Though the wind might gust

It only drives us together

But remember

we will always have fall 

In sepia tones

I produced the seed for this one, and Ts (T.S. Ulmus) gave it a buncha TLC and turned it into the beautiful little flower you see before you!

Or anywhere in the Fall for that matter, as long as you are with the one you love and conversely the one who loves you. The Niagara region is very nice that time of year.
The use of slant rhyme in this poem is quite nice.

Fall is very pretty in the North Georgia mountains :) A lovers (Or..."loved one" for that matter) presence always makes for a good time! Thank you about the slant rhyme part!!!
