The Rest of Her LifeA Chapter by Nix is typing...We tried to capture the POV of the guy that hit me with his car...I've got 300 ponies under my foot as I press on the pedal. I take another pull off the bottle and keep riding... She's humming and running Nothing but an open highway in front of me... Until I see brake lights. I was going a little too fast Didn’t have time to hit the brakes So I swerve into the median to avoid a car. WHAT THE F**K!? Why is there a car stopped there!? I felt something heavy hit my car, don’t know what it was, probably just a sign The rain was a little too heavy, I was a little too drunk, I could barely see. There was already a wreck and a car pulled over barely damaged, but the car behind it, the hood completely crushed and totaled. Something I only saw for a split second, but at least I didn’t hurt anyone. I swerved to safety. No one was hurt. Or so I thought. I found out later there was a little girl. An innocent little girl that this bottle and these ponies crippled forever. Except it wasn't those things. It was me. Twelve-years-old. I didn’t kill her, but I hit her. From what I heard she was thrown almost 80 feet away And landed face-first on a metal grate. "Guilty" “Fine of nine thousand dollars” "Please your honor, sentence me to lashes and pain." I'm sick as I sit in my cell. I'd rather be killed But it's just a few months Till we all pretend it didn't happen. And she limps I’ve probably crippled that girl for the rest of her life © 2021 Nix is typing...Author's Note
