Umwelt (pronounced oom-velt) is one of my new favorite words. It refers to the experience of being a creature that you could never understand. A human just can't know what it is to be a frog. I like a nice contemplative poem though. Perhaps I'm a bad person for asking but do you think you could swallow it for a hundred bucks? Things eat other things, it's nature, so it's not cruel. Well, no more cruel than nature. I enjoyed the poem.
What a blessing and curse to be gifted with such a wondering mind. Maybe it is condescending of us to assume such a creature as a frog would not experience life as we do, yet of course I am inclined to relate with you. Thanks for sharing this simple and beautiful pondering poem.

This little frog doesn’t have a plan
I wonder if his brain is even big enough to understand
To comprehend
The world going on around us
He knows enough to hop away to survive
He knows enough to stay with his frog army and thrive
These lines makes this write, this is filled with so much truth.
I like this write a lot.

These questions bring me back to my psychobiology course at university. There are a lot of things we can learn about ourselves from animal brains. It's quite surprising how complex the behavior of animals with such tiny brains can be.

This poem really didn't have a purpose, it was kinda just something that popped into my head. Thanks for your review, Kari!! ❤️
The purpose of structured poetry isn't to rhyme. It's the thought being expressed. And, if you're going to rhyme it has to be consistent, and, well, structured. Prosody matters. And NEVER force the line to the needs of the rhyme, or, rhyme a word with itself. The reader will notice, and frown.
Take a look at the excerpt from Stephen Fry's, The Ode Less Traveled, on Amazon. It's the best explanation of prosidy and structure I've found.
Sorry my news isn't better. But you did ask. 😛

It's not my best, that's for sure, I've done better poems. I just have to remember to pace myself when writing and posting my poems. Thanks for your advice though!
I am pretty sure he cares about his life but possibly not aware that he cares
we have one living by an outdoor water tank that is always careful not to get stepped on!
Looks like a nature day today!
