Autumn

Autumn

A Poem by Nitesh Mahabal

Darker nights and the slow shedding of leaves,
As they turn yellow, orange, and red from green,
Signals us to be at peace,
With the changing nature of life within,

Now that the hustling forest,
Will silently fall asleep,
It is time to shed our excess,
Give ourselves the rest we need,

Amid the melancholy of winter's start,
We reap the rewards of a year's hard part,
Nature's dance of change, so grand,
In this season's transition, we understand.

Enchanting autumn, with colors so bold,
Reminds us of life's stories, both young and old,
In the quiet of this season's hum,
We discover what it means to become.
