Chapter 1 "What the heck?!"A Chapter by Nish...
"Are you sure you didn't forget anything?" mom asked, in her usual anxious tone.
"Yes mommy, Don't ya' worry, I took everything I need. You checked my bags just half an hour ago, remember?" was my calm answer. "Oh yes, I did, did't I? Well, did you take your water bottle? And those extra pair of glasses? And th..." "Ma! Calm down!" I stopped her, "Don't be so worried, after all, I'm YOUR daughter, I know how to take care of myself;" I added with a cunning smile. "Now that's what I'm worried about..." mom mumbled. "Oh c'mon mommy dear, let's go and have a cup of coffee. My flight's delayed for at least an hour, so it won't be a problem. Look, dad's waving at us." I said, as I started pushing mom towards a cafe situated in the middle of the airport. I could not help but wonder how can there be a cafe like this out of nowhere just in the middle of the airport? And why were there no other customers except the few of us? But eventually I put the thought aside as I tried to enjoy the least amount of family time I could get before I fly off to a completely unknown place. Just the mere thought of it made my body tingle with excitement. But unfortunately that feeling could not last for longer as a mike announcement, almost out of nowhere, declared that the plane for San-Francisco was going to depart in ten minutes. I, along with my family, jumped to our feet and gave each other terrified looks. "That's odd," I whispered to myself while thinking how in the world could one hour pass within a moment. I ran towards the departure door and on its way, picked up my luggage. Before getting out I took a glimpse of my family , my mom, my dad and my younger sister along with the others standing with tearful eyes. I waved at them and exited through the door. "What the . . . " I was out of words. There was a huge ship standing in front of my bewildered eyes. A SHIP! "Wait, isn't this supposed to be an aeroplane? And how the hell could a ship be standing on an airport's runway?! Why am I seeing this? Am I drunk or something?" All sorts of crazy thoughts and questions started swirling in my head. "Wait a second, this possibly couldn't be . . . . . A DREAM! THUD!! "S**t!" I cursed at myself as I felt tinges of pain through my body. I had rolled over my bed and fell on the cold ground. "Wow. What a great way to start my day." I murmured sarcastically as I rubbed my back.
