Is this the right path for you?

Is this the right path for you?

A Poem by Sara

Paths can be deceiving
Even if you know where you're going

Heels first, toes last,
one foot infront of the other,
step by step,
walking.

BEWARE

The echoes of opinions get louder
as the path gets lonelier

The judgy wind is whispering in your ear
The memory-filled rain drops are pouring down your face
And - to top it all off - there's this stupid screaming clock

tick tock …  tick tock … tick tock …

The echoes, the wind, the rain drops, the f*****g clock.
They're all pulling you in different directions
You might even lose a finger or two

In the end there is no path
I'm going off road
off road with hands covering my ears

Heels first, toes last,
one foot infront of the other,
step by step,
walking.

Never stopping.

i feel a lot of pain in reading this..it takes me back to younger years and passionate turmoils ... so many choices ... such big questions .. who am i ... were and how do i fit .. and the clock just keeps ticking its indifference ... love the wisdom in your protagonists experience with striking out .. the nay sayers do arise .. some jealous ... negative Nellies ;} ... deaf ears are best .. really like this honest and vulnerable expression ... definitely personal ... some times that one step at a time is what we are supposed to do .. that and building trust ... we put our foot down .. the earth will not swallow us up ;))) love on ya .. i think the clock in contrast to all the rest is very effective ... solidifies my attention and involvement ...peace and joy and love

Don't get lost... life has a way of reaching in and slapping us at whim (it seems). Catching a breath is as hard as catching a break at times.

And Sara - all of us face lonely as best we can and as only we can.

take care and pause with anytime.
