I Need To Build A Sun

I Need To Build A Sun

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

I need to build a Sun
For us
For all
Ours will die
Where to begin, Annabelle
How to start?
Surely not with what's left
The stained and putrid
The wilted and wretched
The mess our father left
I can't build a Sun
Annabelle
Without your help
I know I shouldn't have asked
It's my fault
I'll start to build our Sun tomorrow
You'll only be eighteen

I don't normaly review poetry. I prefer stories. However, I'm prepared to make an exception in your case.
I liked your buildig of a sun.

One wonders about Annabelle who she is and what she is to the narrator. Best to only wonder and let that fresh sun be built.
