Currents

Currents

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

A Storm is coming
I hope you build a Ship
Constructed for strength
Enough to withstand currents of tumult
Darkened seas
And lightless morn's
Build your Ship
For gales shall seek your plight
Your very soul, asunder
Winds will whisper
your name
As your last kiss
Is felt upon tomorrow's dawn

In simplest terms the ship is metaphor for coffin, but this is not writ in simplest terms. Death is life here and life ends in a deathless voyage. Anyway I liked this simplicity if only because the poet made it "apparently" simple.
