False Light

False Light

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

Any light
Save for suns
And their reflections
Is false light
Save for all the stars
Whose light reaches us so ancient
Save for the impromptu smile
And save for those acts so kind
Save for heroism
Save for charity
Save for times of turned cheek
And save for times of
Remembrance
For in all these
We are bright

The trust light is in goodness. A very lovely thought

Oh, this is lovely! What an original, thought-provoking notion. I really liked it and also drew a metaphorical comparison to people/loves in our lives.. about how anyone but our original true love/intended soulmate is a false light as well.. everyone pales in artificial comparison to that one great soul meant only to burn in synergistic light with our own.
