Her Tourmaline Shadow

Her tourmaline shadow
Etched in cliff walls
that stretch to the skies
and touch the heavens
Her tourmaline shadow
Casts in cordoned caves
mournful mazes
yet moves through light
unseen, undetected
save for the wicked soul
who peers through light
with knowing eyes and
the resolve of a drop of water
that bore a canyon

This is one of those poems that I can understand but can't quite explain. I see symbolism here though. The canyon, the tourmaline all seem to stand for a particular person.
