If you live where darkness lies
Lie in the stillness
Writhe in the silence
Kiss the quiet wind
And drink from remembrance
Take down the shadowed visage
And thirst for the mirage
Or that which is holy
Lick, taste, touch and smell
Consume the black
In dust and in shame

These lines, particularly the first two, are an epiphany. It's a remember to be present, to be in the moment, to absorb that which is. I think people are so distracted by technology today that they forget to just be, to observe, to feel.
