The First Spark

The First Spark

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

Those shameful idols
in castigated prisons
In societal dungeons
In the clutches of tacit compliance
Roam in halls of malevolent ghosts
And walk amongst the souls lost to
the wealth of indignance
The corridors of shameful decisions
The floors echo
Click clack
Step by step
Mind the freshly mopped path
That slippery distance
the straight slope
the unlighted alley
the darkened stoop
Watch for the first spark
It will catch your breath

In a way, this could reflect the immoral actor. Hollywood is filled with them. Just one interpretation. It does have a sinister feel to it though. Dark and heavy.

Politicians could also fall into a category here.

Interesting word use and tone.
