May Carry Your Care To Me

May Carry Your Care To Me

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

I'm surprised my eyes could simply close,
and sleep while you make your way to us.
I've been afraid of Darkness, all my life.
I suppose I'm not truly asleep.
I wish for your heartbeat
next to mine
as dreams of sunrises shatter my slumber
as winds of weary silence
waft on gusts meant for my targeted face
Lift your love on these gales
May carry your care to me
I plead in each second wasted
Come home, my love
Rest in my arms
Rest, here

I understand this poem.
"I plead in each second wasted
Come home, my love
Rest in my arms
Rest, here"
The above lines. Most of us will know often in a long life. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
