Entre Nous

Entre Nous

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

I submit my poetry to cadence.
Allow it its rhythm
Its shine
I submit my words
to you
And drape them in shame.
I will always
leave these words
as sand marks time
As tide, the moon
As I, to you
I sell these words
I sing these songs
I call to you and
herald the spaces between
The spaces between my words
The silence
Simply bend your ear to
The silence

Wow, this is incredible, articulate deep and thoughtful and meaningful breathtakingly speechless. Silence is golden. And expressed to perfection.

Why, thank you so much, Dawn! So very kind.
I couldn't agree more. I stand in the woods, next to the lake, and drink in the silence. It is life-giving! Nice work, buddy,

You're welcome.
So much to be said for silence, vastly undervalued commodity. Without the white spaces the page would be black, and stain your fingers.
