To Shape My Sculpture Shall I

To Shape My Sculpture Shall I

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

To shape my Sculpture
shall I.
Begun with her spark within,
Seize it.
Place it on bench.
Pull the spark wider
Knead it.
Grind thumbs that carry aged knowledge
into.
Taken tools to hand
To shape my Sculpture
shall I.
Chisel her shell
carefully not to crack
but to unfold
as to leave intact.
To shape my Sculpture
shall I.
Blow dust away from the carvings
Wipe her with silken swaths
to waken smooth unblemished shine.
To shape my Sculpture
shall I.
Place her in place of Honor
Train light upon her
And let onyx hardness
gleam as starlight.
To shape my Sculpture
shall I.
Take great pains to maintain her lustre
wiping and polishing.
So, shall I
