Freezing Cold

Freezing Cold

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

When a cold heart lies
there, on moonlit chain link fence,
shattered lives are rendered.
When a cold heart shames,
it's warmth, lies puddled in desert sand
and settles deeply between each grain.
Blood left to curious seepage,
nary a vein to travel.
It's depths to worthless chasm.
A cold heart pierced
is lain upon soil
Left with plunder
Left without reparation.
Spilled from a frigid chest,
a cold heart beats evermore slowly.
