Sometimes

Sometimes

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

Sometimes, an angel's wings won't work.
Can't carry her to heavenly heights.
Won't allow her to take flight.
Sometimes, they get soiled with soot.
Dirtied by the depravity of others.
Sometimes an angel's wings are idled
by her own iniquity.
Those days she believes she doesn't measure up.
That's when an angel is most vulnerable.
Her halo, slightly askew.
Let me tell you, my Angel.
I'm here for you.
Allow me to wax your wings,
Polish your halo.
Wash away those iniquities.
I will give you respite in my nook.
Encase your soul wth love.
Be now clean and emboldened.
Soar, my Angel.
Attain those heights.
