My Words Went With Her

My Words Went With Her

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

She stepped onto the train, and paused on the top step, for a glimpse back at me.
She waved through the window as I waved back, just like so many films we'd loved together. The loneliness crept into each of us. There. On that platform. Though not a final farewell, the movement of the train away from the station, brought longing for our next union.
I'd held her in my arms. Gazed into her eyes, and knew.

I'd written a note to her. Tucked it away in a pair of panties she'd not worn whilst with.
I knew she would find my words.

Seven days later, her phone call.
"I Love You, too."

Your words stir up the desperate feeling of yearning, to be back with her again. Very nice.
