Beside Her Bed

The loose leaf notebook beside her bed
contained the dreams she carefully crafted,
meticulously melded
and ceaselessly sought.
Her heart, spilled upon page after page.
It contained her thoughts of surrender and longing.
It revealed her fears, and gave glimpse of strength.
It left her breathless to write these things.
She knew that this notebook
should never be read.
Day after day, she wrote
Night after night, she wrote

The loose leaf notebook beside her bed
Is still there.

Ugh... that's kind of the problem. The double standard for language must not be based on anything other than intellectual intent. Either it's all okay or none of it is okay... anything else is a road for selectively offended people.

Don't call me a man, call me a unicorn... or your a bigoted racist sis male anti (insert anything).

People should not be encouraged to hide their bigotry... how else are we going to readily identify the truly horrible people if we don't let them expose themselves?
