My Mind's TrickA Poem by Sky
Sometimes, from inside, I hear a word
A phrase A tune like symphonies imbued with sadness or joy That cries to me so softly I am The one that you have waited for It says I am your masterwork revealed I come From all your time in thought And though You've toiled at my whims before Tis now That you will realise your genius Then, from inside, again I hear a laugh Not sweet Nor wholesome in its humor But cold Maniacal and familiar it rings Ah yes Everytime the same joke works You fall Into this hope with each new try give up You will not reach Byzantium not ever So come gentle to despair And let the gold decay © 2013 Sky |
