Too Able to be Weak, Too Weak to be Strong

Too Able to be Weak, Too Weak to be Strong

A Poem by Ninianna Simms
"

My personal flaw explored.

"

You don't have to be perfect,

You don't always have to be right,

Sometimes you have to hold the anger back,

and just stop your holy fight.

I'm not asking for sainthood,

I'm not looking for forgiveness,

But please understand,

I'm a victim of my weakness

of my capable hands.

I can do most anything,

Anything simple or hard,

so please see what I mean,

My kindness is marred.

I'm too proud and too smart

to sometimes remember this thing,

So please try not to be angry,

Because believe me,

I'm trying.

Humility's simple to find,

and even easier to see

in the strong of heart,

and simple of mind.

Sometimes I wish I was weak,

and I long for peace in my soul

that accompanies an honest face

something better with time.

Author's Note

Ninianna Simms
So, found this in my stockpile of half finished poems on my bookshelf. I feel like I was trying to say something but I couldn't find the words, which fits with what the poem does say, I guess. I dunno, Have mercy, this was from middle school. I don't think any of us were quite sane.
