YOUR SWING

YOUR SWING

A Poem by Nini
"

This was yesterday's PAD Challenge poem. This is in memory of my Father-in-law. I sure do miss him.

"

YOUR SWING

Your Swing
was always a favorite
It would sway gently
in the hot sun
while you sat there
basking in the rays

Your Swing
sat on our deck
Where you would enjoy
lazy afternoons

Sometimes
We'd sit with you
Conversation wasn't needed
being in your presence
was enough

Your Swing
now sits empty
It will hang on a tree limb
in memory of you

As the breeze
makes it gently move
Your presence
will still be felt
