First FlightA Poem by Arya_the_elven_ladyA poem about flying. I know, I`m completely crazy.
I am walking to the edge.
The cliff is so big, I feel my fear. I come to terms with it. My claws dig in to the ground, soon I will try to fly. If I fail, I will die. With a deep breath, I spread my wings. I am at the edge. The height makes me dizzy. I feel my legs push me, I`ve leapt off the edge. Falling, falling, fear floods my veins. But my wings shoot open, I level out, I`m flying. Now I am in control, and I sigh in relief. The sea speeds by below me, I can see the waves from far up. Calm, I smile. I am at home in the air at last. © 2010 Arya_the_elven_ladyAuthor's Note
