Letters For You [Her Side] #5

Letters For You [Her Side] #5

A Chapter by Nimfle

They say this town
 Will never know

 -the atrocities of war-

Then it all change when a sky blue car came
With a boy and a man
 Who claimed
 They were from yucatan.

The man always talked of the sea
While his feet sunk down on the wooden floorboards.
 He would have grown old
 Watching the maple trees
As he talked of his beloved sea.

The boy was a different case.
 It was hard
Trying to keep up his pace.

Even though he was so cruel
There was something in his eyes
That made you want to be a fool
Just so he would turn to look at you.

 When winter came,
I knitted handgloves for him to wear
When he was sitting by the worn bridge
Talking of how he wanted to leave
This town in nowhere.
