this is a summary of a short story called "Are you going to help me?" from the book Chicken soup for the soul.

 

     This story is all about an earthquake that hits a city and collapses a school. A father remembers a promise that he made to his son "I will always be there for you." And starts digging through the debris. All the other paretns , policemen, and fire fighters tell him hes wasting his time go home and all he replies to them is "Are you going to help me now?" and starts back digging. Finally after 36 hours of digging he heres his sons voice and rescues him and 14 other children. The End
