Iran

Iran

A Poem by Nima.Hope

O darling,
my sweetheart,
you, the blushing girl of hope
how can I stand watching you suffer?
From all the material world,
If I have nothing to love,
then I assure you
that my love for you will never die.
My homeland,
the palace of poetry,
whether they call you Persia,
whether they call you Iran,
I'll be always loving you,
no matter what our people do.
If Iranians are losing wisdom,
it doesn't mean it's your fault,
O you oldman of wisdom,
you'll be home to the elites by default.
Everybody is talking at you,
they attack you from all aspects,
for hating you, a man needs plenty of reasons
but for loving you, the memory of patriots
like Hafez, Khayyam and Ferdowsi will be enough.

Unless a dictator, despot or all similar words, a single man CANNOT represent his country or history. Your words say as much and also your heart

You're right. Unfortunately the image of my country is in it's worst form ever.
Nice patriotic poetry. Enjoyed reading
