Everyday Dream

Can you see them, like I do,
these lunatics whom I call relatives?
Can you see these weirdos going on my nerve?
Most of them don't know how they should behave

Tired,angry,careless I am
when facing these useless people
They don't deserve my caring
A full study case they are
A psychiatrist must investigate them

Cruel, inconsiderate?
No I'm not,
I've just learned they don't deserve my time

A bunch of phonies, two faced friends....
Unlimited are their lies, their betrayal never ends
Frozen my smile is, From ice my heart is
when it comes to be kind to them
Don't judge me, for I've suffered enough from them

Tired of the beasts, these fake beauties
Human is my wish, not suited up animals
The day I find you beside the dream river
I shall announce: I'm a free-believer
I shall pronounce the end of a comedy
That kept me off from ending the tragedy
of fake friends,  relatives

My life, my everyday dream
Meet me in every lovers' dream
In Paris, near "Shakespeare & Co"
In London, find me at 48 Doughty Street
In Vienna, see me near Danube Tower
In Shiraz, look for me in Hafezieh

See! My soul is here, there and everywhere,
Waiting for you, for a French kiss
Just come, so I'll give you
A love only described in Greek myths

Don't get drunk, before you arrive
For we are about to say cheers
In a night shined in our eyes
That are fulfilled with joy tears

Well, aren't family reunions fun? It sounds to me that your will is going to be one of the shortest in Austrian history.

Thanks for your thoughtful review.

Dear Nima, sadly we don’t choose family but we do have plenty of choice when it comes to our friends. Young man, you have to do whatever is best for yourself. It is your life. Don’t burden yourself with people who make you unhappy. Hang on to your dreams. Make them come true.

i have family like this too Nima ,to be honest it's mostly my oldest children so i have walked away which sounds like a terrible thing for a mother to do but they are all grown with families of their own . I have a younger son who is totally different and is so kind and caring.
Families ! ... you can choose your friends yourself thankfully but not your relatives :)

Thank you Nima , i hope things improve for you :)
I find this poem most interesting and effective in relaying its message.
I have family and had family in the past who basically fit the portrayal here.
Selfish, the "all about me" syndrome.
Extremely frustrating to try to connect with them and eventually we just go away.
Or get drunk just before we see them so we can cope.
