Nothing more to say

I cry easily

when I see a man searching for food

in a dusty trash 

I cry easily

when I see photos of dead people

killed because of war

I cry easily

when the moon shines in the sky

while my love puts her head on my shoulder

I cry easily

when people find humanity

a joke unworthy to try

I cry easily

when a man carries a refrigerator

from one side of the border to another side

only to be alive and prevent starvation

I cry easily

When an engineer is jobless

driving taxi 24/7

only to pay his father's bills

yes,

I cry easily

only to forget the pain 

that one person can't solve

these catastrophic problems

I went to Rome years ago , I went to the Pope’s house , there was a skip outside , and an old lady
Rummaging for food in it , also outside sitting was a a ragged young woman breast feeding a baby

I cry easily too for all such scenarios and the wealthy powerful and fortunate people turning their backs on them all when they could've done a lot rather than thinking of invading and polluting Moon or Mars. Kudos for great compassionate poem!.

Thank you Zaynab. Investigating the Moon or Mars is a process of science and it is not bat at all but the problem is elsewhere. Many people around the world who believe in a religion, spend so much money on many foolish things. Some muslims spent thousands of dollar to go to Iraq to Holy shrines while their neighbor is without food,job and many facilities. Isn't that wrong? The same is about some Christians. While the church's building is fulfilled with gold, people thrive in poverty.

Yeah i do believe that if you dont give out the zakaat Islamic charity every year then if you visit shrines then that is highly wrong, besides the holy personages are in heaven so i don't really see the point in wasting money visiting shrines and i only did it once on insistence of my hubby but he gives out so much in charity so then its ok but others are shias who don't .

I am Persian, and sadly many Persians who are Shia waste so much money on visiting shrines. They are a complex of a thousand paradox.
Islam has died in Iran and only some symbols of Islam can be seen.
I now agree with you on the moon topic.

Most of Iranians are born Shia but as they grow old and become literate, they mostly believe in Agnosticism.

Lovely compassionate poem… which I think truly relates the state of this world through poverty and war. Indeed many will cry with you and wish someone could do more to ease their suffering 😢.
Unfortunately we don’t have people in influence and power that care enough.

As we grow old, we understand that although the commercials for charity are very much in the media, the poverty and hunger in Africa, middle-east and many other places is still bot solved(even in the U.S)!.
