Ode to a Rainbow

Ode to a Rainbow

A Poem by Naomi

Ode to a rainbow

Oh rainbow

of joy and

wonder and sparkles

how I love thee.

The unicorn

of cake rides

your magical colours

like a

jelly baby

rides a chocolate

finger.

The leprechauns

stroke their

ginger

beards and drink

ginger

beer

as they steal

the gold from your

ends.

Oh how we

love thee.

Redness of

ripe apples.

Like orange of an

Orange.

Yellow from the

sun.

Green of the

grass.

Blue of the

river.

Indigo darker than the

night sky.

Violet like

flowers.

Oh the beauty.

Oh the magic.

Oh the glitter

the spangle.

If I could live

in your

world

I would

live a thousand

years

and I would play

battleships

in your

cotton

candy

clouds.
