Innocence

A story about my girlfriend.. seems to be a trend in my writing :)

I was alone midst a sea of people.
They avoided me, hated me;
They feared the very air around me.

We met once before and you didn't cower,
I hid from your eyes for fear I might be seen.
I don't know why you came near me...

...But I'm glad you did.
Because I wouldn't have met you,
and I would still be alone.

And that's why I can't leave you.

Now where have I seen this piece of work before? Oh yeah, it's ours. Needless to say, it's one of my favorite pieces. I love reading over work that has special meaning to me, as this one does.
