When I cry, I cry alone, but one was always there.. when you cry alone, one was always there... When lonely creeps into aloneness, one was always there... Within your joy and love, one was always there... When pain and sadness take you, when you're vulnerable, raw and exposed, one was always there... When all you can do is breathe moment to moment, one is always there... When you are peaceful and calm, one is always there... Now close your eyes, to your inner mirror, see all the faces and experiences that have moved your energy... one was always there... One heart beat, one breath... ONE!
A beautiful mantra, testament to how, when we feel alone, we should never feel lonely. I'm always intrigued by poems about "One", how many ways the concept is approached and explored. You cover a lot of ground in a very entertaining pen. The repetitions "one was/is always there" lends the air of a chant.
Check the spelling in the sixth line: shouldn't "breath" actually be "breathe"? A minor flaw that certainly does not detract from the fullness of your words.
As the old song goes, "One is the loneliest number that you over knew" (By: Three Dog Night) and as your poem reflects, that adage is so true. I think that many people will be able to relate to this. Thank you for sharing.
