Broken Bonds

What does it take to break a bond?

An action.

A word.

An idea.

A cause.

A single missaid word and an unaccomplished action

leads to a misunderstanding, an awkwardness left unsolved.

And then it breaks.

Cracks at first,

though both people try...

they can never say what needs to be said.

they can never fully understand.

All because of the similarities of life,

the fluctuating differences within an action.

The inability to fully communicate

the words that could possbly serve as the fix.

And just like that,

one person gives up.

The other tries to try,

but the other only pulls even more away.

And then it's gone.

Unsalvagable,

unacceptable hole left

where a mutual understanding had left.

A friendship gone,

the two never speak again.

The failings of a bond so weak

the cracks of life had shattered.
