![]() Spring Has Come, and so Has GoodbyeA Poem by Nikolean
Sun shines,
goodbye. It has become spring again. Do you remember those warm summer days, where I ran everywhere, and nowhere, where I ran through the scripts, ran through those meadows? Where you watched me contently, under the shadow of the trees, preferring the coolness of shade, rather than the warmth of the sun? Do you remember those times? The cool fall mornings, where we'd wake up to the swaying of trees? Where we sat under those cherry blossom branches? Do you remember those sleepless winter nights, the evenings full of song? Those nights where I stayed close, warming myself in your heavy arms? Do you remember those wonderful memories? But as the snow thaws, those memories fade, as the snow thaws, the flowers grow once again. Can you see? The flowers, the trees, the wonderful world that you saved? Are you content? Does the sun please you? Are you happy with your life now? Can you see, these flowers that signify new life? As the summer shines, I bid goodbye. I pray, in the remainder of the song, I'd pass on new memories. Memories of the spring you never were able to see, Memories of our time together. Memories I now create anew, memories made with the sun, with the blue skies. Because I know, you would like me to move on. Forget about you, and continue to help the world. But how can I, when I am still full of hate? The signs of new life are the only ties keeping me sane. A single flower blooms, where you last lay. Is this a sign? So as I drop this flower for you, drop a box of pictures of you, I pray you will see how much I miss you. The sun shines, the flowers grow. Spring has come, I begin my life anew, just as these flowers grow again. The sun shines, the flowers grow, spring has come, goodbye. -Q
