Petals

Petals, they are beautiful, but their beauty is new found

Petals, their beauty now shows but they were once crumpled in a ball
Eventually the leaves will begin to fall
Petals, now beautiful and seemingly perfect
But, these petals were once a wreck
They've bloomed to be gorgeous and free
Somehow, these petals remind myself of me
My soul blooms like a flower
It is mighty if you give it power
My soul is like a flower, it's seen darkness
My soul is a flower, it now sees the light

These petals have fought a fight
To be content and gorgeous as they are now
Many won't understand or know how
But these petals are coiled together
They'll make it no matter the weather
