This is installment two of How Much DO You Love Her? My poetry style zombie drama.

Mathew sipped his coffee,
Clair made pancakes.
They went about their blissful morning
not knowing the turn the day was going to make.

Paul lived next door
without a wife.
He worked at the plant
and on this day, lost his life.

Kissing his wife good-bye,
Mathew went to work,
not knowing that just right outside
the danger lurked.

Clair went about her morning,
sweeping, washing, and mopping.
Then out of no where, from the kitchen window
she heard a slight knocking.

She went to the kitchen
to see Paul from next door.
What was he doing?
He wasn't suppose to be home until after four.
